In July 2015, the Canadian Museum of History, along with other federal Crown corporations, was issued a directive (P.C. 2015-1105) pursuant to section 89 of the Financial Administration Act to align its travel, hospitality, conference and event expenditure policies, guidelines and practices with Treasury Board policies, directives and related instruments on travel, hospitality, conference and event expenditures in a manner that is consistent with its legal obligations.
As required by the Treasury Board Directive on Travel, Hospitality, Conference and Event Expenditures, this report provides information on the total expenditures for each of travel, hospitality and conference fees for the Canadian Museum of History for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2016. Crown corporations are not required to provide an explanation of variances in their first annual report, but only in the second and subsequent annual reports.
