The COVID-19 pandemic remains a touchstone in the memories of Canadians. From coast to coast, people across Canada had their lives upended by changing public health measures as well as economic and social upheaval.
Join Dr. James Trepanier, Curator of the History of Childhood and Social Movements, in this presentation that explores how the Museum’s Research team collected examples of contemporary experiences and perspectives as they happened in real time. The Museum’s growing collection of Canadian pandemic experiences in politics, social protest, work, and artistic expression reflects how diverse pandemic perspectives might be understood by future audiences.
