“More Than a Game” – Black Sports Figures in the 20th and 21st Centuries

Valerie and Harry Jerome, siblings and track and field athletes, successfully competed for Canada in many national and international track and field events, including at the Olympics. The Jerome siblings supported each other throughout their training and during events. They persevered to break down barriers and were powerful role models as Black athletes in the field of sport.
