Dr. Xavier Gélinas on Canada and the United States — A 250-Year Partnership
Canada and the United States share a long and complex history, stretching back to the American Revolution of 1776 — and even before. Over the past 250 years, our neighbouring nations have been deeply connected through defence, trade, migration and diplomacy.
This relationship has included moments of rivalry, mistrust, and even conflict, as well as periods of indifference. Above all, however, it has been shaped by personal connections, political dialogue, military alliances, and economic co-operation. For better or worse, Canada and the US have been enduring partners in shaping North America. Join Dr. Xavier Gélinas, Curator, Political History, in a fascinating insight into this ever-evolving story.
General admission: $10 + tax
