Dr. Olivier Côté on an Intimate History of Communication
Join us for a presentation exploring Canadians’ personal and evolving relationship with communications media — from handwritten letters and landline telephones, to the rise of the cellphone. Based on original research, this session will include engaging anecdotes, highlights from the postal history collection, and a selection of communication devices housed at the Museum.
You’ll also hear oral history excerpts, offering first-hand perspectives on how these technologies shaped everyday lives.
Join Dr. Olivier Côté, Curator of Media and Communication, for a presentation that is not only a chance to share findings, but also an invitation to exchange ideas — and perhaps spark interest in developing this research into a future exhibition.
General admission: $10 + tax
Members: Free! Registration required.
Presented in French with simultaneous English interpretation.
