Ottawa Race Weekend
Please note the following road closures around the Canadian Museum of History during Ottawa Race Weekend on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Laurier Street will be closed from Boulevard des Allumettières to Courcelette Street on Sunday, May 24 from 6:30 to 11:30 am. The Alexandra Bridge will be closed from 6:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Police officers will be stationed at various intersections to guide vehicle and pedestrian traffic across the marathon route. Access to the Museum’s underground parking will be via Papineau Street.
Underground parking at the Museum will remain open, but access to the garage will be very limited from 6:30 to 11:30 am. Peak runner traffic around the Museum will occur between 8 and 11 am. Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to reach the Museum without any significant delays during this period, as directed by the Gatineau Police.
Please allow extra time to get to the Museum, as there may be delays due to these street closures. The Museum will remain open during its regular hours of operation.
