Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Plan Your Visit

Join us on Thursday, November 28 at 6 p.m. for the fourth annual lighting of the Canadian Museum of History giant outdoor Christmas tree.

Invite your family, friends and colleagues to count down to the lighting of the tree. Enjoy Christmas carols by Pierre Elliott Trudeau school choir, along with complimentary gingerbread cookies and hot chocolate (while quantities last). Also on the program: dance and live music by l’Ensemble folklorique de la Gatineau.

Don’t want the fun to end? Enjoy the Museum’s Christmas Market, which takes place in the Grand Hall until 8 p.m.

We hope to see you at the official tree lighting countdown. Note that the activities will take place outside, so please dress accordingly.

We look forward to welcoming you to this festive gathering!
