The Ballroom Costumes

Mrs. McLeod Stewart (née Linnie Powell) attended the Ottawa Historical Ball as the Duchess of Suffolk in the Discovery of Canada by Jacques Cartier set in a costume which she had worn on at least two previous occasions. The current version of the bodice shows that it was later altered for another use.
