Don't Be Fooled by the Prices

Thirty-nine cents for a hockey stick? Nine dollars for a pair of figure skates? Were the prices of the past really the bargains they seem today? Calculate the prices of objects found in catalogues dating from 1918 to 1975 in 2003 dollars, and decide for yourself.
