Fun-filled Day Camp Field Trip

This summer, bring your day camp groups to the Canadian Museum of History for a fantastic Greek-inspired day of fun!

Your campers will enjoy a truly epic experience inspired by our major summer exhibition, The Greeks – Agamemnon to Alexander the Great.

Tour Bus Parking

Free parking is available year round at the Robert Guertin Arena, located at 125 Carillon street in Gatineau, a few minutes from the Museum.


School programs are available for school groups, as well as assistance to teachers in planning unguided visits. There is a separate reception area for groups, where coaches can drop off passengers.

Guided Tour

Through artifact collections, research, exhibitions and public programs, the Museum works to preserve the heritage of Canadians and promote the cultures of Canada and the world.

Discover the living history of Canada! Treat yourself to a guided tour of our permanent halls. All tours last approximately 45 minutes and cost $3.00 per person.

Group Meals

The Canadian Museum of History offers group meals options for small and large groups, from casual cafeteria style to fine dining.

Voyageurs Cafeteria
The Voyageurs Cafeteria offers a wide range of breakfast, lunch, box lunch and snack options. The Cafeteria offers a large terrace overlooking the Ottawa River and Parliament Hill.

Bistro Boréal
Savour dishes inspired from Canadian ingredients under a unique northern sky ambiance. In summer months, the terrace is a great vantage point from which to watch the activity on Laurier Street.

The Lunchbox
The Lunchbox, located near the Group Reception Area, is ideal for student groups who prefer to bring their lunch. It has drink and snack machines and can accommodate 140 people at a time. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
