Ni’n na L’nu (pronounced Neen naw ul noo) means “I am one of the people” in the Mi’kmaw language. But who are the Mi’kmaq, whose ancestors have inhabited Prince Edward Island for more than 12,000 years? This travelling exhibition examines the history of the Mi'kmaq on Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island) from the earliest times to the present day. Wigwam-inspired structures are used to present images, texts and artifacts. Inside, an audio environment draws visitors into the world of Mi'kmaw Elders through stories and music.

An exhibition produced by the Mi’kmaq Confederacy of Prince Edward Island, with funding and assistance by the Department of Canadian Heritage, Parks Canada and the Government of Prince Edward Island, presented by the Canadian Museum of History, Gatineau.
