Celebrate National Indigenous History Month with a day of inspiring art, storytelling and dancing. Look up, way up, on a guided visit of Morning Star. This stunning and profoundly symbolic painting by Dene Suline artist Alex Janvier, in the dome above the Morning Star Mezzanine, recounts Canada’s Indigenous history through a visual feast of shapes, colours and symbols. Learn about the work’s cultural significance, then create your own work of art on a mini-canvas. Enjoy a performance of Sky Woman, the Haudenosaunee creation story, by traditional dancers and storytellers from Aboriginal Experiences. An enriching experience for families with children ages 3 to 12.
