Central to the exhibition were sixty historical television sets, related memorabilia, and panels examining the history and socio-cultural influence of television. Watching TV was divided into six sections, beginning with the birth of mechanical television in the 1920s and culminating in a look at television now, and in the future. Each section traced various television developments, demonstrating television's evolution from an experimental technology to a communications system with global reach and influence. |
