Justina Harrison was born in Toronto. The daughter of the Honourable Robert A. Harrison, Chief Justice of Ontario, and Kennethina Johana McKay, she received most of her education abroad. While living in Dresden, she studied under Lamm, Ley Kauf and Mrs. Wagner.

Her work, including Dresden and other china, was shown at the Ontario Society of Artists exhibition in 1900.
