Engages in politics as a Conservative supporter.

Marries Dorimène Roy-Desjardins, with whom
he has ten children.

Begins work as a stenographer at the House of Commons in Ottawa .

Founds the first caisse populaire in Lévis.
1906
The Quebec government gives legal recognition
to the caisses populaires.
1917
Retires from the House of Commons to work
on his plan for a federation of caisses populaires.
1920
Dies on October 31 in Lévis.
