The Art, Craft and Industry of Rodeo and Ranching Life
Ranching and rodeo provide a livelihood for people in a wide range of related industries. Fashion design, saddlemaking, leather work, silversmithing, carving and the manufacture of horse gear allow people to explore forms of design expressive of the rodeo/ranching lifestyle. Others find employment as guides, packers, farriers, stock contractors, horse breeders, and stuntmen or stuntwomen. The craftspeople and businesspeople introduced in this section of the exhibit are but a few of the hundreds of men and women on the Plains and Plateau who work in professions related to ranching and rodeo.
