The roots of Chinese civilization

Gatineau, Quebec, June 4, 2007 — Don’t miss a special opportunity to learn about Chinese civilization at the Canadian Museum of Civilization on June 14, 2007. Join Royal Ontario Museum archaeologist Chen Shen (PhD), Bishop White Curator of Far Eastern Archaeology, Department of World Cultures, for a fascinating talk about the formation of Chinese civilization, from the arrival of Peking Man to the rise the powerful Han dynasty.

This activity is presented in conjunction with the Museum’s newest exhibition, Treasures from China, where visitors will see some of civilization’s finest artifacts, illuminating the rich history and achievements of the Chinese people. The exhibition is presented until October 28, 2007.
