Learn traditional Native stencilling techniques

Gatineau, Quebec, March 7, 2007 — On March 16 at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, guest artist Simon Brascoupé will lead a special pochoir workshop, introducing this traditional Native stencilling technique through storytelling. With the artist’s support, you will be able to create your own artwork.

Simon Brascoupé is a member of Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg, an Algonquin community located in Maniwaki, Quebec. Don’t miss this opportunity to try your hand at pochoir and produce images using paper stencils and ink!
