the Canadian Museum of Civilization


Gatineau, Quebec, June 10, 2008 — Now is your chance to tantalize your taste buds and experience the mouth-watering flavours and aromas of Greek cuisine. Join Chef Michael Tatsis, Executive Chef of renowned Ottawa restaurant Aroma Meze and Wine, as he demonstrates traditional Greek cooking. Guests will then have the opportunity to ask questions and to sample Chef Tatsis’ final product.

This activity is organized in conjunction with the Museum’s newest exhibition The Greeks. Discover the beauty of the Greek world through objects spanning an incredible 8,000 years of history. The Greeks presents a stunning collection of more than 180 artifacts from the Benaki Museum in Athens. From ceramics and jewellery to sculptures and embroidered textiles, these objects provide insight into the diversity of Greek civilization.
This exhibition is co-organized by the Benaki Museum in Athens, Greece, and the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
