Bring your camera to the Museum for
Les Journées de la culture

Gatineau, Quebec, September 16, 2010 — The Canadian Museum of Civilization has a picture-perfect way to celebrate Les Journées de la culture (National Culture Days)this year. On Saturday, September 25 and Sunday, September 26, amateur shutterbugs are invited to join the Museum’s own photographers for a free behind-the-scenes tour of their studio, followed by a chance to snap some of the Museum’s iconic architectural features.

Steven Darby and Marie-Louise Deruaz will explain how they photograph artifacts in the Museum’s collections and will share tips on how to capture beautiful images. You can then apply what you learned by directing your own camera lens at the Museum’s photogenic exterior. Send your best shots to culturedays@historymuseum.ca and we will post them on the Museum’s Flickr page.
