Everyday is a gift and I take time to celebrate each day.
The moon cycles, Equinoxes and Solstices are my moments of reflection above all other religious holidays
The Tibetan new year falls on the 22nd this year and we celebrate as a community (sangha) of Buddhist Practitioners. The ten days before are called dön season in which it is very important to practice as a community and individually because the karma of the past year intensifies.
As a Native Canadian, the Equinoxes, and especially the Solstices hold special significance. I celebrate Christmas with my family.
I celebrate the two Eids (one right at the end of Ramadan and the day after the pilgrimage of Hajj). I also fast the month of Ramadan.
