From Jing County of Anhui Province. He studied in France and Belgium. He was
a professor and Dean of the Peping Art College and a professor and Principal
of the Central Art College. He was adept in oil painting, Chinese painting
and calligraphy. His style was clean, precise, clear and smooth, since he
absorbed the strength of the discipline of oil painting. His works are
natural, implicit, but with precise shapes. He has held personal exhibitions
in Britain, France, Switzerland and also in various places in China itself.
His representative works are "Reservoir of Fozi Mountain" and "Portrait of
Qi Baishi".
