He was a native of Mei County, Kwongtung Province. He studied in France and
England. Throughout his life, he tried to assimilate the essence of
Western painting style into Chinese painting, thus creating his own style.
This style of oil painting is extraordinary, yet mature. He was the founder
of the National Hangchow College of Art. Exclusive exhibitions of his works
have been held in China, Hong Kong and Paris. He was the President
of the National Association of Artists, Shanghai Chapter, and a member of
the Shanghai Literary Association. He was also a resident artist at the
Shanghai College of Arts.
