World Premiere of Canada C3 – Coast to Coast to Coast at the Canadian Museum of History’s CINÉ+

Gatineau, Quebec, June 26, 2018 — The Canadian Museum of History’s CINÉ+ is proud to present a Canada 150 Signature Project produced by the Students on Ice Foundation. Filmed during the historic Canada C3 expedition, this inspiring and thought-provoking documentary retraces the 150-day icebreaker journey from Toronto to Victoria in 2017.

Presented exclusively at the CINÉ+ this summer, Canada C3 – Coast to Coast to Coast will transport audiences on a marine adventure exploring Canada’s coastline. From Lake Ontario, down the mighty St. Lawrence River to the Atlantic Ocean, then through the Northwest Passage to the Pacific Coast. The expedition and its diverse teams of Canadians sailed over 25,000 kilometres, visiting communities, national parks, marine protected areas, and many other remote and extraordinary corners of this vast, beautiful and diverse country.

“Canada C3 became a voyage of reconciliation, a unique pan-Canadian scientific voyage, and a platform for art, music, storytelling, connecting, inspiring, healing and awakening,” said Geoff Green, Founder and Executive Director of the Students on Ice Foundation, and Canada C3 Expedition Leader. “Canada is a young country still learning about its past, navigating its present and exploring its future.”

Narrated by Canada C3 participants Sarain Carson Fox and Maxime Le Flaguais, this never-before-seen footage from the world’s longest national coastline will educate, entertain and inspire.

Presented on the biggest and brightest screen in the region, the 45-minute documentary Canada C3 – Coast to Coast to Coast will be exclusively at CINÉ+ from July 1 until Labour Day weekend.
