The Museum’s 150th: Museum Forefathers

Gatineau, Quebec, September 7, 2006 — The Canadian Museum of Civilization invites you to two Coffee & Conversation events where you can discover the fascinating careers of two of the Museum’s forefathers: Marius Barbeau and Diamond Jenness.

On September 15, join archivist Benoit Thériault as he describes the captivating career of pioneer Marius Barbeau in the field of Canadian anthropology and folk culture.

Diamond Jenness was a member of the first multi-disciplinary scientific expedition to the Canadian Arctic. On September 17, his son, renowned author Stuart Jenness, will discuss the important contributions of this expedition.
