Star Gazing with the Greeks at
the Canadian Museum of Civilization

Gatineau, Quebec, June 30, 2008 — Join us for an afternoon of coffee and conversation as Carmen Nadeau – astronomy enthusiast and Greek mythology buff – discusses the origins of the Greek myths which describe the sky’s constellations.

This activity is organized in conjunction with the Museum’s newest exhibition The Greeks. Discover the beauty of the Greek world through objects spanning an incredible 8,000 years of history. The Greeks presents a stunning collection of more than 180 artifacts from the Benaki Museum in Athens. From ceramics and jewellery to sculptures and embroidered textiles, these objects provide insight into the diversity of Greek civilization.

This exhibition is co-organized by the Benaki Museum in Athens, Greece, and the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
