This exquisite ivory maskette is more than 2,000 years old. It was excavated at the Tyara (also Tayara) site, on Sugluk (Qikirtaq) Island in Nunavut. Despite its small size (3.5 cm in height), this piece remains unrivalled as a masterwork of ancient Dorset art.
