Refus global manifesto

Canadian Museum of History, RARE N 6546 Q8 R44 1948, IMG2009-0063-0111

Issued on August 9, 1948, the Refus global is a manifesto that attacks the three pillars of traditional French Canada: the church, rural life and respect for tradition. It proved to be a harbinger of Quebec’s Quiet Revolution in the 1960s. This is a rare, complete and original copy of the document.
