Curious About Canadian History? Ask a Curator!

Have you ever wanted to know what it’s like to work at the Canadian Museum of History? Do you wonder what the oldest or biggest artifact in our National Collection could be? Do you have a burning question about Canadian history that keeps you up at night? If so, Ask a Curator Day is a perfect opportunity to engage with Museum experts who are passionate about the work they do.
Taking place on Twitter on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, Ask a Curator Day is an online initiative created by Mar Dixon in 2010. Connecting cultural institutions and professionals with the general public, it allows Twitter users to ask questions about the work being done by museums and their expert staff.

This is the Canadian Museum of History’s fourth time participating in Ask a Curator Day. It’s a great way for us to connect with people who have an interest in Canadian history, regardless of their geographical location. It also allows us to engage with new audiences who share our passion for Canada’s history, as we reveal little-known information and fun facts to participants. We look forward to fielding questions from the public on September 13, and encourage you to join us by sending your questions to @CanMusHistory using the hashtag #AskACurator.
