Gatineau, Quebec, October 27, 2011 In conjunction with the Much More Munsch exhibition, the Canadian Children’s Museum features the Best Books: Children’s Reading Series, a series of inspiring presentations by award-winning Canadian children’s writers and illustrators, designed to make reading fun.

On Saturday, November 5, the Children’s Museum invites you to meet Marie-Louise Gay, author and illustrator of more than 60 books, including the wildly popular Stella series. She will give a hands-on workshop for children and families featuring her latest delightful book, Caramba and Henry.

On Sunday, December 4, get in the mood of the festive season with a wonderful story and craft activity by outstanding kid’s author Sharon Jennings. The co-author of Franklin the Turtle books will read from her book A Chanukah Noel.

In January, award-winning author/illustrator Barbara Reid will read from her latest book, Picture a Tree and demonstrate how she crafts beautiful art from Plasticine. In February, author Frank Edwards explains how to create extraordinary stories from ordinary subjects. Finally, in March, families are invited to join author/illustrator Geneviève Côté for a hands-on workshop about the making of books.
