The Minerals of the Klondike on Canadian Soil

Canadian Museum of History, 85-395, IMG2009-0063-0010-Dp1

During his life as an engineer on sites across Canada, Georges Bédard discovered a country rich in natural resources and history. Wanting to share this richness in a unique way, he depicted the country’s natural resources and mineral wealth in his art. He imitated the stratigraphy of mountains by using materials to represent the gold, silver and other minerals that can be found below the surface.
