Reaching New Heights:
Sharp Sheet Metal and
Comstock International
During his first year at Sharp, Chris became a foreman and worked on public libraries and schools, his first large sites. He and his crews installed boilers, furnaces, and ductwork on some of the many schools that were sprouting up across Toronto and its new suburbs.

He also began working on other larger sites, for example, the Union Carbide plant in Lindsay, Ontario, and the University of Guelph Physical Sciences Building. As his responsibilities at Sharp grew, Chris usually supervised more than one job site. Often, he had to drive from site to site, across southern Ontario.
