Connie and Chris Bennedsen:
A Life Together
Dear Connie and Kedde! Thank you so much for your letter telling us that you have arrived at home in safety. And thank you for your visit here, we have all been so glad to have you here and hope to see you again very soon. It must have been wonderful for you, Connie, to see your family again; it is always hard to be away from home for the first time. We have had a wonderful week-end, Sigvard and I. Sigvard came home on Friday at four o'clock in the afternoon and will have to be there again tomorrow morning at half past eight. If he could only have been free so much when you were here! We were just talking about how nice it would have been if you had been living in Copenhagen so that we could see each other and help each other . . . . I really like you so much and am so glad to be of the same family.
Birgit and Sigvard Bennetzen to Connie and Chris Bennedsen, January 15, 1961.
