This honour was bestowed upon Professor Bliss, Canadian historian and renowned author, during last evening’s 2016 Induction Ceremony in Hamilton, Ontario.

The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame celebrates great Canadians whose work has advanced health in Canada and around the world. It creates an enduring tribute to Canada’s medical heroes. Michael Bliss joined the Museum’s Board of Trustees in 2012 as the Museum began to undertake its most ambitious exhibition project — the Canadian History Hall.

The Museum of History also congratulates the other inductees.

The Canadian Museum of History operates the Canadian Museum of History, the Canadian War Museum and the Virtual Museum of New France. Together, these Museums function as centres for research and public information on the history of Canada. Their principal role is to enhance Canadians’ knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the events, experiences, people and objects that have shaped Canada’s history and identity.
