Sheraton Fold Over Card Table

Tables of this style and degree of refinement are not unusual in English and American furnishings dating from the late 1700s and early 1800s, but they are not often found in Canada. The top folds over and is supported by two swing legs at the rear. This Sheraton table has a Halifax provenance and, based on its form and inlay patterns, was possibly made by the Halifax cabinetmaker John Tulles (1771–1827).
