Pair of Canvasback Duck Decoys

Ivar Fernlund was a master carver of Canadian decoys. He spent many hours studying his subjects and was among the first to use artists’ oils to capture the colour and texture of several species of waterfowl. This handsome pair of canvasback decoys was part of the duck hunting equipment Fernlund used near his home in Hamilton, Ontario.
