The Canadian Museum of History recently launched free educational resources for teachers:

Using primary sources from our national collection, these new educational resources feature a variety of time periods and perspectives. These resources will help you make Canadian history relevant to students today.

Join Learning Specialist, Christina Stokes, for an overview of the power of engagement through our virtual school programs, History Box kits and Teacher Zone learning resources. Christina will demonstrate the features of the Teachers’ Zone module — including short videos, curated objects from the Museum collection, multiple perspectives, and classroom activities. This session will also dive in the research behind these new resources — including a focus on the inclusion of diverse stories — and end with a Q&A period.

You will leave this session with a toolkit of valuable tangible resources and offerings that you can use in your classroom to teach diverse topics from Canada’s history.
