(Pre) History Night at the Museum

Plan Your Visit

Learn from exhibition team members how Neanderthal came together, play some trivia, handle reproductions, and dig a little deeper into our shared past.

Club-wielding brutes? Slow-witted knuckle-draggers? Or inventive beings constantly adapting to challenging and changing environments? Join Janet Young, curator of Neanderthal, and other team members, for a night of ice age discoveries. Hear behind-the-scenes stories, learn more about the team’s favourite objects, play some trivia, handle reproductions, practice your excavation skills, and take a selfie against a woolly mammoth backdrop. Find out who may still have Neanderthal DNA today, as you discover more about our prehistoric cousins.
