Discover the powerful sound of Indigenous languages during National Indigenous History Month at the Museum.

This National Indigenous History Month, the Museum is highlighting UNESCO’s International Year of Indigenous Languages in a month-long series of activities and installations celebrating the vibrant world of Canada’s Indigenous languages. Hear, see, and interact with past and current Indigenous voices through art, songs and special objects. Visitors will also be able to visit Footprints: A Walk Through Generations, a travelling exhibition developed by the Aanischaaukamikw Cree Cultural Institute that focuses on the importance of walking as a healing and empowering experience in Cree culture, both past and present.
