Halloween: Medieval Ball

Buy Tickets

The Canadian Museum of History is the place to be for the Halloween costume party of the year!

Come dressed in your finest hose and be ready to party like it’s 999 as we celebrate Halloween, medieval-style! Try on some armour as you stroll through the exhibition Medieval Europe – Power and Splendour.* Hit the dance floor to tunes from a modern minstrel (a live DJ). Take in performances by circus artist Marianne Trenka, and be entertained by the wandering magic of Kevin Smith. Samuel Létourneau will dazzle you with his juggling, fortune-tellers will be at the ready to read your future, and artists will be on hand to capture your likeness.

That’s not all! You can also sample some medieval-themed poutine and enjoy drinks from the cash bar. Noble, peasant, dragon or unicorn — all are welcome as we celebrate Halloween!

*The exhibition space will be open for this event from 8 to 9:30 p.m.

For security reasons, no masks or weapons (whether prop or functional) will be allowed at this event. Guidelines established in the Visitor Code of Conduct will apply. The Canadian Museum of History reserves the right to refuse entry to any participant whose costume does not comply with these requirements, and may conduct coat and bag checks.
