Jewish Journeys – Stories of Immigration

Plan Your Visit

Join us for the opening of Jewish Journeys – Stories of Immigration from the Treasures of Library and Archives Canada — a special display exploring key moments in the history of Jewish immigration to Canada, from the 1800s to the present day. Take this opportunity to visit the Canadian History Hall and enjoy special programming that explores immigration and adaptation to life in Canada. There will be a cash bar during the reception.

Michael Kent, Curator of the Jacob M. Lowy Collection at Library and Archives Canada, will examine the Jewish immigrant experience in Canada, along with Jewish contributions to Canadian society. This special presentation will include short videos and songs, offering visitors a fascinating look at the Jewish experience, and its impact on Canadian pop culture and Canada’s broader heritage and identity.

In English with simultaneous translation into French.
