Get down to the serious business of playing with toy cars as you learn about the importance of engineering and design to the safety, performance and speed of car racing. Inspired by the special exhibition, Hot Wheels™ – Race to Win™, this is your chance to learn about cutting-edge technology by building a solar-powered toy vehicle, and see actual race cars from Calabogie Motorsports Park on the Museum’s Plaza! Decorate a wooden toy car with a custom design job to take home, and test the ramps and loops of Hot Wheels tracks. Race over to the Museum for this day of high-octane fun for families with children from ages 6 to 12!
Solar-powered toy vehicle workshops*:
11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
*Participants must pre-register at the Travel Bureau (Entrance of the Children’s Museum) on day of the event, first come first –served, limited space available! Ages 8+
