Hands-On History: Indigenous Art and Culture

Buy Tickets

Join us as we celebrate National Indigenous History Month. Every weekend in June, drop by the Canadian History Hall to explore the contributions of First Nations, Métis and Inuit. Explore the European fur trade: handle beaver pelts and hide scrapers, get hands-on with Métis beadwork, and learn about the important role played by women during the fur trade. Or take a trip to the Arctic without leaving the Museum: feel the warmth and practical strength of caribou and sealskin clothing made and worn by the Inuit.
