If you like trains, you’re on the right track this winter at the Children’s Museum. Visit the special exhibition Thomas & Friends™ – Explore the Rails, based on the Thomas the Tank Engine series of books and TV shows, then drop in to our Studio to create your own, personalized wooden locomotive. There are many different types of trains: passenger trains to carry people, and freight trains for cargo; old-fashioned steam locomotives, traditional diesel engines and high-speed electric trains; city subways, streetcars, monorails, and more. How will you customize your little engine? This hands-on craft is a fun activity for young children and accompanying adults.
