Christmas Sing-a-Long: Ukrainian Carolling

Plan Your Visit

Celebrate Christmas in song!

In 1996, the congregation of St. Onuphrius from Smoky Lake, Alberta, donated their 1907 church to the Canadian Museum of History. Meticulously reconstructed by historians, piece-by-piece, St. Onuphrius Church is now located inside the Canadian History Hall. This holiday season, St. Onuphrius welcomes singers from the local Ukrainian Catholic community to delight visitors with traditional and Western carols. For Ukrainian Catholics and Orthodox Christians, Christmas is followed by 40 days of celebration, and wandering carollers bring joyous song to warm the long winter nights.
