Canada Celebrates International Day of the Girl

Plan Your Visit

From filles du roi to Girl Guides, find out more about young Canadian women during a special evening of stories, history and Girl Guide cookies (of course)!

Join Museum historians as they highlight the achievements of young women who left a lasting impact on our country. Curators Isabelle Charron and James Trepanier share stories from two distinct moments in Canada’s history, with the help of artifacts from the recently opened Canadian History Hall.

Presented in conjunction with Women’s History Month, International Day of the Girl and National Cookie Day, the evening features a cash bar and plenty of Girl Guide cookies! This event is part of the History Night series, which showcases the national collection and brings together Museum experts and enthusiastic visitors.
