What is it like to balance on tiptoe high above a pool, knowing you must master airtime and rotations to enter the water perfectly? Jennifer Abel can tell you. The recently retired diver has competed at four Olympics, and has won multiple medals at World Championships and the FINA Diving World Series.

During this virtual webcast, viewers will hear directly from Jennifer on her path to the podium — from early dives at age 5, to her insights about representing Canada at the highest level. Moderated by friend and sports agent Dominique Ladouceur, the evening will explore Jennifer’s influences and experiences, as she shares her thoughts on being a mixed-race female role model.

This event is part of the “An Evening With” Series, which is designed to encourage open dialogue at the Museum. The series welcomes experts and well-known personalities in the fields of history, politics, the media, sports, and the arts to explore important issues within a conversational format.

This event is presented in French with simultaneous English interpretation.
