Relive history while enjoying the food and wine of the 1864 Charlottetown Conference.

Forget the political negotiations — what did the Fathers of Confederation (and their female guests) eat and drink at the Charlottetown Conference? Did you know that wine and extravagant meals played a vital role in convincing the Maritime provinces to join Confederation?

Start your evening with historian Timothy Foran, as he presents gallery highlights in the new Canadian History Hall. Enjoy a historically informative evening as you travel back in time. Feast on a four-course dinner inspired by the Conference, prepared by chef Michael Lasalle. Sip perfectly selected sparkling wine pairings presented by world-renowned (and local) sommelier Véronique Rivest.

Top off your evening by listening to Timothy Foran reveal the juicy culinary details of Charlottetown’s grand ball, as you dine in the Museum’s new signature space.

Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The evening includes four wine pairings with a four-course food-tasting menu.
