- Additional Information Girl's dress made of natural coloured linen; the bodice and full skirt are joined by a wide waistband; long, wide sleeves are attached to band at wrist; back fastening. The space above the skirt's hem has been embroidered in a modified vermicelli pattern in narrow dark green soutache. Front bodice cut in one piece, with fullness centrally and irregularly gathered into waistband; back bodice sections have fullness lightly gathered into waistband. The back opening placket extends into the skirt but is closed in bodice and waistband with only six hand worked buttonholes and small mother-of-pearl buttons. The dress's high, round neckline is finished with cording and a frill of handmade Torchon-type lace; sleeves are set-in with cording and fullness at lower edge; lightly gathered onto medium width band; skirt composed of two 78 cm selvedge-to-selvedge widths evenly hand-gauged to waistband; pocket in right side seam; 7 cm above the lower edge a 7 cm band of decoration in dark green soutache has been stitched in a modified vermicelli design.
