- Additional Information A plum coloured satin evening bodice trimmed with machine-made silk net and Maltese type lace. Front is fitted with a centre front seam and two darts on either side; these and the side seams are boned. It has a centre back opening with boned edges and lacing holes, a wide neck with a band of net edged with self satin bias binding, and a frill of Maltese type machine lace below. The deeply pointed waist at front and back is finished with cording. Bodice has very short puffed sleeves, is lined with cotton tabby, has had its side seams taken in, and was machine-sewn. It is a good example of an extremely pointed waistline. The bodice came from the family of W.K. Reynolds, editor of the New Brunswick Magazine, and builder of the first suspension bridge in St. John.
